hmmm... I think I royally stuffed myself over. I forgot to check the library early on and now I find myself with only a handful of missing library books now that I'm at the final dungeon. I searched high and low, but all the secret caves are empty. All book spawning opportunities turned out to be meteorites. I have seen nowhere discussing this book finding trouble. So it appears that I've been fated to a world where I can never 100%, so alas I must start over again.
No, I’m stupid, the 8BitDo instructions are very unclear and it’s possible to pair your controller in ways that don’t work. I’m about to send this dumb thing back.
But hmm… even with it properly paired, it doesn’t seem to work? There’s not an obvious option to enable it.
idk man, it automatically detected my knockoff Xbox One controller and just worked- maybe you have some other program like JoyToKey stealing the inputs? I had that happen a few times when switching games.
I'm so excited to try this game (I got it as part of the Bundle for Racial Equality back in June), but for some reason the game won't launch at all, even after re-installing it... (it'll just say "running"/"last played now"), but won't open :( ... is there any way to fix it...? I absolutely love how the game looks and was one of the ones I bookmarked to try first.. If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!! <3
Is the game suppose to flicker non-stop on boot and the menu? Cause it's like an old console T.V. that can't find the right position for the antenna to give a clear image.
Hello. I bought the game from the BLM bundle and played it. I gotta say it's an absolute joy, with a little of Legend of Zelda nostalgia here and there despite its procedural nature. However, the game suffers low frame rate and even crashed when I was streaming the game with Discord. Perhaps this is from the game and Discord conflict.
I LOVE this game. I've just completed the Sacrifice ending and I absolutely will be playing again for the Perfect ending. This game looks like a Zelda clone on the surface, and in its core gameplay and very bare NPC interactions that matches, but that's really where the similarities end for me. As far as the story itself and the story beats therein, it reminds me of the charm that Undertale gives off. It's clever without being obnoxious, and genuinely the "twist" after the 8th Archangel surprised me in a way that I very much enjoyed. I also appreciate the options for the art style, as well as being able to switch the glitch and flickering effects on or off (I love them, but near the end I got a headache looking at it so I was VERY thankful I could turn it off). I've been telling all my friends who bought the Racial Justice and Equality bundle that this is a "must play" for the top of their list. And anyone else--buy this and play this. It's been a joy and I'll likely play it on my (hilariously tiny) twitch channel one day soon.
I am loving this game so far, but I'm plagued by what looks like dropped frames? The screen will stop updating for a second or so then skip ahead (I assume this isn't a deliberate "glitch effect" thing since it kept happening when I turned glitch effects off). It hasn't been a game-breaker yet, but it did make the first boss more challenging than it ought to have been. Linux Mint 18.3 / 16 GB ram / quad core 3ghz)
Wonderful game where you play as a sword lesbian who goes on a date with a sexy librarian lady, and naturally the only proper date for a sword lesbian is a "Save the World" stakes adventure...
Oh and something something Legend of Zelda parody something something subversion of the genre
Mind Blown! You can see, and feel the love and care that went into this game. So much fun! Great sense of humor, amazing gameplay, memoriable characters, unique story where your choices matter. I will be relaying this one. Top notch title with quality visuals! Would recommend to all.
Damn its an awesome game. I'm like, "ok 1700 random indie games with like 4 good ones" but fuck, ive been proven wrong each time. I love the way this plays out, with the story breaking expectations and putting a really interesting spin on the classic heros tale. I haven't finished it, but so far its awesome.
Amazing. In a sea of zelda clones, it manages to iterate and invent a completely unique niche for itself. Its not one massive adventure, but rather a slice of adventure that you can relive multiple times, which will allow you play and experience the game in very, very weird and intentionally glitchy ways in sequential playthroughs with different maps or different rules. Not only does the story throw surprising beats that seriously intrigue the player to push forward (and I really dont want to spoil here), but the amount of replayability, randomly generated dungeons and modes (How about a whole game generated for everyone daily that you can compete with) and the resulting endless content make this a ridiculously great get from the bundle. 5/5
One of the first games I tried from the itchio bundle (bet these folks are happy they're on the front page of the bundle, haha!), and it's a pretty neat procedural nostalgia trip with some interesting stuff going on (the glitch goggles are a really cool item that plays on some of the famous room warp glitches from the 2d zelda games!)
I played through in 8-bit mode because the Oracles Zelda games are my favourite ones, and the game basically replicates the look of those games perfectly! I will say that from what I saw of half a playthrough of the 32-bit graphics, the character portraits and boss sprites are way more charming in that mode, especially for Paige who looks a bit... off in 8-bit? Would definitely recommend sticking to 32 bit for anyone who doesn't have an overwhelming nostalgia for the gameboy Zelda games like me!
I think the game suffers slightly for the procedural nature of the dungeons as the final, authored dungeon is absolutely the most engaging one on the game, and I'd be interested to see what kind of dungeons this team could come up with in a game with fully authored dungeons.
Story is fairly standard fare, but it had some interesting parts! It was interesting enough for me to see itthrough, and I enjoyed the exploration of the in-universe implications of Pokemon Red + Blue style world state glitches. I mostly enjoyed the character designs though as I say the 32-bit portraits are far better imo. Humour was a little hit or miss for me, but there were some good jokes here and there (255 pizzas).
Overall a game I'd say was fully worth the time spent on it, that I'd def recommend giving a shot!!
The game keeps softlocking during the tutorial with Lance after you tell him to press O to swing the sword. I lose control of the character and can't do anything but exit and restart. Happened twice already. Really wanted to play this game but doesn't look like I'll be able to.
Hey, not a developer or community figure or anything, but this sounds like a common MacOS bug reported on the Discord. Even if it's not, I'm sure they'd be glad to help you out and figure out the issue over there, as they helped me with a couple problems I had in a timely manner as well.
This was the very first game that I wanted to play from the bundle, but no support for newer versions of macOS is a terrible disappointment! Please consider us lowly folk with Apple devices running newer operating systems ;c
I'm having an issue in the game (running on OSX) where all my key-presses stop registering after 10-30 seconds of playing. The game still runs in the background; music is playing and other characters move still around, but I'm stuck and unable to move, menu, or act in any way. Only option is to quit the game, but the same problem happens on next open. I've tried deleting/redownloading the game twice already. I have no clue what I'm doing, so any advice is appreciated!
Usually there's a Fn key or similar you can hold while you press arrow keys to perform pgup/pgdn. You can also rebind them from the game's title screen options menu.
I'm having a blast with this one. It's very funny and well-polished. It feels just as good to play as the best roguelikes and Zelda clones out there. This game alone is reason enough to buy the bundle, and I'm glad I didn't skip over it when browsing my new collection.
Noticed a glitch - When using the tunic that increases your size, you can't interact (pick up skulls, push blocks) from the top. Every other direction works just fine.

The hallucinatory battle arena on the east island can be used to spawn any books you've missed!
Why is this game listed as having gamepad support? The controls are keyboard only.
Gamepad worked for me
You have to toggle the option under controls maybe?

If it helps, this is what I saw on reddit to help and all?

For some reason, the game froze the taskbar of KDE Plasma on Linux. I tried both Linux and Windows, with Wine, versions.
One of my favourite games of all time :)))
MacOS 10.12.6 - Couldn't play because the game kept freezing as soon as I started, had to force quit every time.
I had success on 10.14.6 by installing the current Java JDK
Then I ran the jar directly (right click the Application "show package contents" >Contents>Java>libloader.jar)
I also had to edit contents> launch-config.json so the option for openGL was set to false.
"useOpenGL": false
Then aside from a slower (but still plays great) framerate the game played fine.
Great look, nostalgic feeling, dark humor and a pet chicken called “Henrietta”. I love it !
This game was amazing!!
I so love all the additional game modes and tools included like making my own GIFs and altus. :)

I've get the game in "Bundle for racial justice and equality" ...
I tried to play ...
The game don't starts...
:c
Really enjoyed this one. 18 hours. Completed Sacrifice and Perfect endings. The music is great. Thanks for Linux build! ^^
So, how do I go about actually running this game on my chromebook?
Yes, if you have it enabled for Linux applications it should work.
PS: You may need extra libraries.
noffing happawens wen i doburu clickuru it jus do noffing and i haff upudated windaroo's and alsuro upudated garaffics dwivers pws halpame
Mac 10.13.6, game keeps on freezing as well.

Does this game forbid screenshots or something? I've tried to take multiple ones via ShareX and the entire screen goes light-green whenever I try.
Mac 10.13 and unfortunately it keeps freezing. Love the game design.
I've been following this project for years and yet I somehow missed it actually be released. Congratulations!

Frankly, this is the correct response

i love the soundtrack but i haven't seen it anywhere :(
i've seen it listed on steam
It's not opening when I click on it; it's just opening a new window and then closing it immediately. Please help.
If you pick "Hyrule" as the world name it gets changed to "Dont sue me" too good, love this game.
Is there anywhere to get the soundtrack?
I don’t like RPG/ARPG but I ended up playing for a long time in every session.
I really appreciate that there’s a way to keep move while attacking which greatly reduced the fatigue of doing repetitive things.
I loved the last dungeon too.

Hi inukat, there's a solution on this post--see the second heading: https://www.reddit.com/r/lennasinception/comments/h9f74d/common_issues_reporting_bugs/
I'm very bad with tech and get very anxious about anything involving a terminal. Do I just open the Terminal and paste the command line?
This was the very first game that I wanted to play from the bundle, but no support for newer versions of macOS is a terrible disappointment! Please consider us lowly folk with Apple devices running newer operating systems ;c

same problem here on mac. once i pick up the first item in the class i never make it out
Hi Calcitrix, see the second heading on this post for a solution: https://www.reddit.com/r/lennasinception/comments/h9f74d/common_issues_reporting_bugs/
I'm almost obsessed with this game. I really love it!
i don't know if im just dumb, but im on a laptop and don't have the pgup/pgdn keys. is there another way to traverse the menu?
Usually there's a Fn key or similar you can hold while you press arrow keys to perform pgup/pgdn. You can also rebind them from the game's title screen options menu.
Really enjoying this! I meant to only play for 30 minutes before bed and suddenly it's 2 AM.
I'm having a blast with this one. It's very funny and well-polished. It feels just as good to play as the best roguelikes and Zelda clones out there. This game alone is reason enough to buy the bundle, and I'm glad I didn't skip over it when browsing my new collection.

I've encountered this as well. Best tunic in the game though!
